As BACASAN, we attach the utmost importance to the security of your personal data. As BACASAN, we place great importance on processing and retaining all kinds of personal data belonging to all individuals associated with BACASAN, including persons who benefit from our products and services, in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”). With full awareness of this responsibility, we process your personal data within the scope and under the conditions set forth below in our capacity as the “Data Controller” pursuant to the KVKK.

1. What Is Personal Data?
Personal data is defined in the KVKK as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Accordingly, your name, surname, date of birth, identification number, email address, telephone number, and similar information that you share with us are considered personal data.
BACASAN collects your personal data when you share it directly with BACASAN, through automated means, or through other sources such as third-party platforms.
2. What Is the Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data?
BACASAN collects and processes your personal information in order to fulfill our legal obligations arising from your relationship with BACASAN regarding our products and services and to inform you about campaigns and benefits.
In this regard, BACASAN collects and processes your personal data to evaluate and handle your complaints, process your payments, improve our products, services, communication methods, and the functionality of our websites, and provide you with personalized products, communication content, targeted advertisements, and product recommendations.
For the purposes stated above, BACASAN processes and stores your personal data based on your explicit consent, where directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract with you, or where required by our legitimate interests, provided that these interests do not prejudice your fundamental rights and freedoms, within the purposes and scope specified herein.
3. For What Purposes and to Whom Do We Transfer Your Personal Data?
Your personal data may be shared with BACASAN shareholders, our direct/indirect domestic/foreign subsidiaries and affiliates, and domestic/foreign individuals and organizations that represent us and/or cooperate with us during the continuation of our business relationship in order to carry out our activities, including companies providing services such as cargo, shipment, call center, database, and cloud services. In addition, personal data may be shared with courts and other public institutions due to our legal obligations and limited to such obligations. Furthermore, BACASAN may share personal data relating to your visits to BACASAN websites and traffic information such as your browsing information with public institutions and organizations that are legally authorized to request such information, for the purposes of ensuring your security and fulfilling BACASAN's obligations under the applicable legislation.
4. How Do We Store Your Personal Data?
Your personal data shared with our Company is stored on BACASAN's secure domestic/foreign servers in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, the provisions of the KVKK, and BACASAN standards. In this context, BACASAN takes the necessary technical and administrative security measures prescribed by applicable legislation to ensure the security of your personal data.
5. How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Data?
Pursuant to Article 7/f.1 of the KVKK, when the purpose requiring the processing of your personal data ceases to exist and/or the legal periods during which we are required to retain your data under the applicable legislation expire, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by us.
6. What Are Your Rights Under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data?
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, to the extent that BACASAN processes your personal data in its capacity as the data controller;
subject to the KVKK and other applicable legislation;
• To learn whether your personal data is being processed,
• If your personal data has been processed, to request information regarding such processing,
• To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether such data is used in accordance with its purpose,
• To know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or internationally,
• To request the correction of your personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
• To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the conditions stipulated by the KVKK legislation,
• When you request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate data or the deletion or destruction of your personal data, to request that this situation be notified to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
• To object to the occurrence of a result against you arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
• To demand compensation for damages if you suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.
You may submit your requests regarding the exercise of these rights to our Company in writing or, if a separate method is determined by the Personal Data Protection Board, in accordance with such method.
